Learning Programme: Facilitating, Guiding and Supporting Learning Print E-mail

Overview
The programme is designed to equip participants with the competence to develop mentoring, facilitation and coaching programmes to provide guidance and support to learners.
 
Purpose
The purpose of this learning programme is to assist learners:
 
  • To be competent to conduct training sessions
  • Prepare for one-to-one training on the job
  • Prepare and review an individual development plan
  • Provide guidance and support to learners
  • Review support services
  • Source and maintain information to assist learners
  • Plan and prepare for facilitation
  • Facilitate and evaluate learning

Unit standard alignment
The learning programme is aligned to the following unit standards:
 
  • Perform one-on-one training on the job – USID: 117877, NQF 3 (4 credits)
  • Guide learners about their learning, assessment and recognition opportunities – USID: 117874, NQF 5 (6 credits)
  • Assist and support learners to manage their learning experience – USID: 117865, NQF 4 (5 credits)
  • Facilitate learning using a variety of given methodologies – USID: 117871, NQF 5 (10 credits)

Duration of training
Five days
